I think we should have a command that will toggle sounds on and off, so at some points we don't need to deal with them. It'd be useful if we're playing a game and we don't want the damn buzzer all the time.

you know, that doesn't sound like too bad an idea. Maybe a command in the quicknote console. What do the rest of you think?

personally i like having the sounds but i can also see why people might want to turn them off from time to time. seems like a sensible suggestion to me.

Sounds a good idea.
Also it would be good to have some other options as well. For example it would be good if we could turn of the sound of publick quicknotes but still have the sound for private and other similar options that we can turn of some of the sounds but not all of them.

I think this is an excellent idea Yankee, those sounds do get annoying after awhile.

ji only noticed there WERE sounds the other day and they were annoying the hell out of everyone else because i was in a lounge room on a computer

Well I would never use it but that doesn'T mean I doN'T agree. For those who need it -or if I want to be more quiet - yes, why not.

i guess the only downside if you don't have sound is that you never know what's going on

peersonally I'd only use the feature if I was playing anagrams or high-low, those sounds really piss me off for some reason
